A kinetic brand for sound designers, Sonic Mason. Bringing sound to life visually in a unique way for SM.

Sonic Mason are a creative studio specialising in audio production and engineering. To create a brand for this industry, we knew early on we needed to make something that lived and breathed – much like how sound lives around us.

This became a kinetic identity that reacts to sounds like an audio wave. The word Mason moves with the sound and never sits still. In the digital space the identity is always moving, and in times where the brand needs to be static, the kinetic mark can be paused and have a unique shape each time.

Collaborating with Sonic Mason opened up our thinking to more than just the visual representation of the brand, seeing sound and how it can be used to play with connection was a big part of our research early on in the project.
