Hi! We’re an award winning independent creative studio based in London, UK, working with clients around the world.
We are flexible for every brief. A team that is perfectly sized for every project, giving our clients a personalised, hands-on experience that gets straight to the point – perfectly scaled for your needs – keeping costs realistic for all sizes of clients and project.
B&A connects audiences with brands by understanding the behaviours of both.
Engagement is about trust, it’s a relationship between the brand and audience that grows over time, it’s a message told through all mediums – design, film, events... the behaviour of a brand has endless touch points that can evolve for each unique moment and story.
That’s what makes us Brand Behaviourists.

Matt West, our founder and Creative Director, is an award winning designer, typographer and filmmaker. With awards from the International Society of Typographic Designers and recognition for his films at international film festivals.
Over 20 years he has worked at some of the best design agencies in the world, cutting his teeth on a wide variety of clients across all sectors. He has built up a level of craft and creative flair that has made his branding, design and film work stand out and give his clients great engagement.
He created Blast & Aftermath when seeing there was need for a creative partner that wasn’t just about make visually beautiful work, or about using strategy as a catch-all concept. Instead, there was an opportunity to be a creative studio who partners with clients and creates work built on understanding behaviours first and foremost. If you know the behaviour of the audience, and use that to adapt the behaviours of the brand, you can greater engage and excite.
In 2022 Matt created Inside Man, an event for generating greater conversation and awareness for men’s mental health. And at the core, how creativity is a powerful tool for helping boys and men process and express their emotions and mental state.
Matt is available for talks either about mental health and creativity, or creative work in general. Please reach out to ask for more details.
