Gold Quill
Design Awards
Paper company, Gold Quill, run a design awards scheme every year. And each year the theme changes. Working with Wardour, we created a look based on paper sculptures.

US paper mill design awards, Gold Quill, needed a design for their awards scheme. We created a paper curled quill, giving a huge burst of colour, which, when printed, shows off the quality of the paper, and also ignites imagination of the quality of work the awards always draws.
Some projects have constraints, whether that be time, budget, or material, but often a constraint can inspire some clever response that ends up defining the entire project. This project had limited print budget, so we created a book that had stepped pages. Outer pages, printed in full colour, and inner pages printed on blue paper in black only. This meant the bulk of the print was very cost effective, but the narrower pages meant there was a flash of full colour on every page.
This gave a very unique look to the design, and something very different to touch and hold.
Created in collaboration with Wardour.
